recently i had a brief conversation with ben pasley.
most of you dont know who that is.
he was the lead singer of the band "100 portraits" and he also co-led (along with waterdeep)the "enter the worship circle" projects
that probably doesnt mean much to alot of you either.
lets just say he was a neat guy with long hair and one of them indian man-dresses on.
during our talk he said something to the effect of this:
1. what you do is not important
2. what is important is loving people
3. therefore it is important to discover who it is (what people group) you love and form your life around that.
for example if you love farmers, then i wouldnt recomend moving to inner-city detroit, or wearing that "FFA sucks" shirt of yours.
i like this philosophy.
in fact it is becoming my strategy for discovering purpose.
just thought i would share.
