One thing about us Diarylanders is that we spend a lot of time alone.
When we spend a lot of time alone, we usually spend a lot of time on social media (so as to feel like we are not alone, but "connected.")
But social media is awful, isn't it?
It's nothing but click bait and distraction and emptiness.
It's the junk food of social interaction.
Nothing but empty calories.
It's always nice to come back here and read people's honest accounts of their lives.
Sure, it's mostly struggles and uncertainty and depression.
But it's all real and genuine.
The food may be bitter here, but at least it is meat.
And it is still very nourishing in its own way.
So to all of you who still write on here, thank you.
Thank you for being real.
It almost seems like we are friends sometimes.
