right before i actually started writing poetry, i told people that i was becoming a beatnik.
i did this, mostly because i like black turtle necks, but also because i have always thought it to be fun.
i could envision myself in some smoke filled jazz hall, reciting poetry as some musicians play spontanous ryhthms to match my mood.
well, tomorrow night that dream is (kind of) becoming reality.
my friend chris is playing at the cedars jazz club tomorrow night, i am playing percussion.
and inbetween sets, i will be laying out my poetic verse as chris does some background stuff.
pretty tight. i think.
it makes me wish that at least one of you were here.
