ah, christmas time with all its traditions.
mom:"do you want to read the christmas story (like we do every year), so that we can open presents?"
dad: "nah, we've all read it before."
me: "yeah, sorry to ruin the ending for you mom, but the baby Jesus is born."
then we opened presents.
thats only funny to me because my dad is a pastor, and he should be, at least, vocationally obligated to care about the christ child.
but just like a holiday film, we have discovered at the last minute the true meaning of christmas:
gifts.
i also like how we dont have a big family.
i enjoy not having pretend to like some odd smelling, eccentric old couple just because they have the same last name as me.
i am glad that noone will tell me that they knew me when i was "this big!".
i am glad that i dont have to hug and or kiss anyone this holiday season.
i love christmas!
happy birthday Jesus!
i swear you dont look a day over over 1,999!
