"marketing and promotion. thats your business. the music (or poetry, or any other form of art) is not your business. thats your product. your business is to move the product."
-ben kennedy ( the guy that is letting me sleep in his guest room.)
food for thought.
he also said something about how a big misconception so many of us have is if we produce good art it will find its own way of getting out there.
not true, says ben kennedy of enter the worship circle fame, you need to get it out there.
you need to have a business mind.
i dont have a business mind.
i am not sure if i will ever get published.
this normally doesnt bug me, but it kind of does today.
i think that i really want to get published and become disgustingly rich and famous and rule the world and then maybe, just maybe, lose my virginity.
i think it would be nice to live off of my art.
wouldnt it?
i think so.
maybe i should start saving up to buy me a new business mind.
in other news, an old friend from bible school called me up today.
i am getting witnessed to alot these days.
but i'm sure that if i keep wearing my pentagrams and sacrificing small children to various poly-indonesian gods while they are arounds i'll be left alone again.
